How you will make an impact:

We are seeking a Field Applications Specialist (Bioprocessing) based in either Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA area to support customers across the West Coast.

This role is part of a growing global Applications Engineering team. You will act as the technical interface between biopharmaceutical customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring successful design and implementation of single-use systems used in drug manufacturing processes.

Customer & Technical Support

  • Partner with biopharmaceutical and biotech customers across Europe to understand their process requirements.
  • Design and support implementation of single-use systems used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, training, and troubleshooting.

Technical Interface & Project Delivery

  • Act as the key technical link between customers, sales and internal engineering teams.
  • Lead technical discussions, presentations and solution development activities.
  • Support successful deployment of Meissner technologies in regulated manufacturing environments.

Regulatory & Quality Environment

  • Ensure solutions align with cGMP requirements and relevant FDA regulatory expectations.
  • Support compliant application of technologies in pharmaceutical production environments.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Share customer insights with global engineering and commercial teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of products, tools and processes.
  • Develop toward becoming a Subject Matter Expert in bioprocessing applications.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent technical discipline from four-year college or university.
  • Must have at least one year of experience as an as a technical specialist in single-use systems and technologies geared toward the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to work independently, with strong self-motivation and time management skills.
  • Travel to client facilities (with commercial team members) and Meissner entities globally may account for up to 40% of time.

US BASE PAY SCALE

Seattle Based: $100,000 - $120,800

San Francisco Based: $100,000 - $135,800

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
