Technical Writer (Government Contract) – Job DescriptionPosition Summary

The Technical Writer will support federal government programs by developing, editing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, reports, and communication materials. This role collaborates with program managers, engineers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to translate complex technical and operational information into clear, accurate, and compliant documentation aligned with government standards and contract requirements.

The Technical Writer ensures all documentation supports program deliverables, complies with federal guidelines, and facilitates effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences.


Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Documentation Development
  • Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation including system documentation, user guides, SOPs, training materials, and operational manuals.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Create and update documentation supporting system architecture, software development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure initiatives.
