Remote Technical Writers use digital communication tools to manage projects, conduct interviews, and deliver documentation, making it possible to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.

What does a remote technical writer do?

Remote technical writers create documents that explain complex technical information in simple language that can be understood by anyone. Instead of working in the office, remote technical writers complete their tasks from home or another location outside of the office. Proficiency with documentation tools like Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, Markdown, and content management systems is typically required. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are crucial soft skills for remote collaboration and meeting deadlines.
