Job description

DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Java Technical Specialist for a long‐term contract opportunity in Raleigh, NC . The selected candidate is eligible to work remotely; however, the candidate must reside in North Carolina.

Responsibilities Be part of the application maintenance team serving as the technical specialist and consultant by independently managing complex Java projects and providing critical second level 24x7 on‐call support. Work with Business Owners in translating customer requests into technical requests and user stories. Coordinate software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team.

Develop business requirements. Provide testing and training support. Have proven experience with enterprise‐level software development programs.

Required Skills 3 years experience with Java/JEE, Oracle, and XML. 3 years experience with Web Services, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Struts, Eclipse IDE, and version control tools. 3 years experience with application analysis and design, cost analysis, estimating staffing needs, testing, documentation, and implementation.

3 years experience in technical helpdesk support. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.

Effective oral and written communication skills. Desired Skills 1 year experience with Visual C++, .NET, CORBA, EJB, and Hibernate. Benefits Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
