This role is a key contributor on a global team driving large‑scale manufacturing transformation across the enterprise. You’ll lead complex, high‑impact projects that bring advanced automation, digital systems, and modern manufacturing architectures to life—from defining requirements and building system designs to coordinating integrators, infrastructure changes, and site deployments. The work demands strong cross-functional collaboration, tight technical execution, and clear communication to keep decisions, risks, and progress aligned across teams and leadership levels. In this role, you’ll help deliver scalable, repeatable solutions that drive meaningful operational and financial gains while shaping the future of how Collins manufactures globally.

This remote role will require schedule flexibility as it supports global teams and initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Lead large-scale manufacturing transformation projects integrating automation, equipment, and digital technologies.

  • Drive projects from requirements definition and architecture development through integrator selection, implementation, and site deployment.

  • Partner across Engineering, Operations, Digital, Facilities, Supply Chain, and technical experts to align requirements, decisions, resources, and execution.

  • Coordinate equipment, controls, digital systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure changes required for successful implementation.

  • Manage system integrators and external partners to ensure technical, schedule, cost, and performance objectives are achieved.

  • Communicate program goals, status, risks, decisions, and business impact across all levels of the organization.

  • Deliver significant operational and financial improvements through standardized, scalable Collins architectures and repeatable solutions.

What You Will Learn

  • How Collins manufacturing operations, automation technologies, digital systems, and infrastructure come together to create integrated manufacturing solutions.

  • How to lead complex transformation efforts across multiple businesses, sites, technical disciplines, and organizational boundaries.

  • How emerging manufacturing and digital technologies can be applied and scaled across Collins operations.

  • How enterprise standards and common architecture can accelerate implementation, reduce cost, and improve operational performance.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex technical or manufacturing projects from concept through implementation, including coordination of cross‑functional teams and technical experts across multiple organizations.

  • Full‑cycle project execution experience covering requirements, scope, schedule, budget, risk management, integrator coordination, and stakeholder communication.

  • Relevant manufacturing industry experience (or closely related technical environment).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to communicate complex technical and business topics effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.

  • Experience with manufacturing automation, industrial equipment, digital manufacturing, controls, or systems integration.

  • Experience contributing to or leading major manufacturing modernization or transformation initiatives.

  • Experience selecting and managing system integrators, equipment suppliers, or other external technical partners.

  • Strong systems‑level thinking with the ability to link technical decisions to operational performance, scalability, and business value.

  • Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across organizations without direct reporting authority.

What We Offer
