Job Description

Position Summary

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the successful delivery of assigned technology product initiatives and implementations. This role partners across Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, and external vendors to develop delivery plans, manage timelines and dependencies, coordinate testing and release readiness, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. The position strengthens cross-team coordination, reduces delays and rework, and supports consistent delivery processes and documentation. Significant technical, prioritization, resource, and final release decisions are escalated to the appropriate functional leaders.

Essential Job Functions

1. Functional Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate assigned technology product delivery and implementation projects, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate UAT, release validation, deployment runbooks, release checklists, and other standardized delivery artifacts; prepare release-readiness information and recommendations.
  • Maintain RAID logs and facilitate timely resolution or escalation of project risks, issues, actions, dependencies, and required decisions.

2. Operational / Departmental Support

  • Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to translate requirements into actionable delivery plans and track agreed-upon acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate Engineering, QA, release management, professional services, Operations, and external vendors for releases and implementations; facilitate Agile delivery activities for assigned initiatives.
  • Coordinate data migration, integration testing, implementation cutover, post-launch monitoring, lessons learned, operational handoff, and project documentation with the appropriate functional owners.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to applicable company delivery processes, change controls, documentation standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain required project records and reporting to support audit readiness and internal controls.
  • Identify and escalate delivery, compliance, vendor, data, and release risks as appropriate.

4. Financial / Performance Accountability

  • Support project budget adherence and vendor cost controls for assigned initiatives.
  • Monitor project delivery metrics, milestones, resource needs, and third-party deliverables.
  • Identify schedule, scope, or cost variances and escalate material impacts to the appropriate leaders.

5. Leadership / Collaboration

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve departmental objectives and support effective delivery across teams.
  • Provide clear stakeholder updates regarding project status, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decisions required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and project documentation while promoting company values and professional standards.

6. Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Performance Expectations & Key Metrics:

Performance will be evaluated based on measurable outcomes aligned with company and departmental goals. Key metrics include:

  • On-Time Delivery: Percentage of assigned releases and implementation milestones delivered to agreed schedule and scope.
  • Delivery Quality: Reduction in preventable delays, rework, and post-release issues attributable to delivery coordination.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Effectiveness of project communication, coordination, and overall delivery experience.
  • Process Adherence / Audit Readiness: Consistent completion and quality of required delivery artifacts, controls, and documentation.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Timely identification, escalation, and resolution of project risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Project Documentation: Quality and completeness of UAT plans, deployment runbooks, cutover checklists, RAID logs, status reporting, and post-implementation documentation.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in software product delivery, technology implementation, project management, or a related discipline.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management skills, including experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Working knowledge of system integrations, APIs, data migrations, software release processes, and related technology concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and technical issues to business stakeholders.
  • Strong risk management, dependency tracking, documentation, change-control, problem-solving, and escalation discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with property management technology and integrations, including Yardi, MRI, Salesforce, CRMs, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with data validation techniques; basic SQL knowledge preferred.
  • Scrum Master or equivalent Agile certification is a plus.

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds, if necessary

  • Manual dexterity sufficient for regular keyboard and office equipment use
