Job description

Role Overview

The Senior Manager IT, Master Data Management leads enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management (RDM) strategy, architecture, and delivery across the member and provider domains. This role modernizes legacy platforms and drives cloud migration to enable trusted, high-quality data that supports operational performance, regulatory compliance, analytics, and digital transformation. The role partners across business and technology teams to ensure scalable data solutions, effective governance, and measurable improvements in data quality.

Work Arrangement

  • The is a hybrid, office based position at our Ellis Preserve office in Newtown Square, PA. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Remote days are Monday & Friday

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise MDM & RDM strategy, roadmap, and execution for member and provider data domains
  • Architect and design MDM/RDM solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise data architecture, governance, and payer business needs
  • Manage and optimize MDM/RDM platforms using tools like Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAS, and related data quality and governance tools
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve MDM/RDM capabilities
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and tool assessments
  • Oversee cloud migration of MDM/RDM platforms, including planning, architecture, execution, and operational transition
  • Support enterprise initiatives such as digital transformation, analytics modernization, and interoperability programs
  • Drive Azure-based data engineering initiatives, including integration with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL
  • Define and implement data quality rules, stewardship workflows, and governance processes for member and provider data
  • Establish KPIs and metrics for data quality, platform performance, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
  • Lead cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, analysts, and data stewards
  • Ensure compliance with payer industry regulations (HIPAA, CMS, NCQA, interoperability standards)

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's Degree preferred
  • At least ten (10) or more years of Data Management, Master Data Management (MDM), and Reference Data Management (RDM)
  • Previous experience in the healthcare domain; experience working for a Healthcare Payer preferred
  • Strong expertise in Member and Provider data domains within Payer or healthcare organizations
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM, Reltio, and SAS data management tools
  • Proven experience designing and implementing MDM/RDM architectures in complex enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated success leading cloud migration of MDM/RDM platforms (preferably to Azure)
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL, and related components
  • Proficiency in Databricks for data engineering, transformation, and integration
  • Deep understanding of payer data standards, healthcare interoperability, and regulatory requirements
  • Leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders

Other Skills

  • Experience with Collibra Data governance features
  • Experience with API-driven MDM integration, microservices, and event-driven architecture
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM)
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, or other modern analytics platforms
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Certifications in Azure, Informatica, Reltio, or data management disciplines
