Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on an elderly patient demographic who may face a range of psychiatric disorders, often complicated by co-existing medical conditions. By creating a safe space for dialogue, you will help these patients navigate their mental health challenges, ultimately promoting a sense of autonomy and improved quality of life.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on geriatric populations preferred.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based practices for treating mental health disorders in older adults.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that allow for effective engagement with elderly patients and their families.
  • Diligent proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing individual and family therapy to older adults, with demonstrated results in improving patient outcomes.
  • Knowledge of community resources available for elderly patients and ability to integrate these into treatment plans.
