As an LCSW, your role encompasses a broad range of essential responsibilities including:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to determine mental health needs, followed by developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support patients through their emotional and psychological challenges.
• Documenting all clinical interactions accurately and promptly in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that may include medical professionals, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and peer review sessions to continually refine your therapeutic techniques and improve patient outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families about mental health issues and facilitating access to treatment options and community resources relevant to their needs.
• Staying current with the latest research surrounding mental health, incorporating new findings into your practice to enhance patient care.

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals in hospice care who are coping with terminal illnesses and their associated emotional struggles. This population requires a sensitive and informed approach, as many are dealing with profound grief and existential concerns. Your work will not only help improve their mental health but also support their families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on psychotherapy.
• Expertise in solution-focused therapy strategies and methodologies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage sensitively with clients.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, essential for developing effective treatment plans.
• The ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member.

• Experience working with palliative and hospice care patients.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote counseling practices.
• A background in grief counseling and support for families of terminally ill patients.
