Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans, taking into consideration their needs, goals, and preferences to foster a sense of ownership in their recovery journey.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in addressing their mood disorders effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote understanding and support.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the duration of therapy, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
  • Engage in a multidisciplinary approach by collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals, ensuring integrated and cohesive care.
  • Remain informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic approaches and patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaborations with medical professionals.
  • Proven history of delivering successful therapy outcomes for mood disorder clients, showcasing effective intervention strategies.
