About This Role

The Teacher will oversee the development of a cohesive teaching team, coordinate educational curriculum, and manage day-to-day classroom operations to provide a stimulating environment where children can thrive. Teachers must possess a deep understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to create a safe and engaging learning space. Effective communication with both children and adults is essential to meet children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and address parental concerns.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement curriculum through engaging classroom activities aligned with early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Model and coach teaching team members to foster success through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Plan activities tailored to individual and group needs to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth among children.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents through reports, conferences, and informal discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.
  • Manage records, files, and forms accurately and efficiently.
  • Pursue continuous professional development through a personal growth plan to maintain high-quality teaching practices.

Requirements
  • At least one year of professional experience in childcare is required.
  • Strong communication and computer skills are necessary.
  • Able to maintain a high level of energy and work collaboratively with others.
  • Familiarity with child development principles.
  • CPR and First Aid certification for infants and children; training will be provided.
  • Clear full background check and pass health screening.
  • Ability to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear at various volumes. Kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling may also be required.
  • Superb leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves
  • Possession of an Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field is desired.
  • Completion of ECD 101 is a plus.
