DUCKETT LADD // TAX ACCOUNTANT

As a key player in our tax preparation department, you'll work closely with our Tax Consultants to manage our clients tax support and return preparation.

Tax Accountant

To support both the team at Duckett Ladd and clients by ensuring accurate and timely tax preparation and filing. The tax accountant will contribute to a seamless tax season by staying up-to-date on tax regulations, providing exceptional service, and helping clients meet their tax obligations efficiently. A focus on continuous learning and developing expertise in tax software and compliance will be essential in providing top-notch client service and supporting the firm’s standard of excellence.

Tax Preparation & Filing

·       Prepare individual and business tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

·       Gather necessary tax documents from clients, ensuring completeness and accuracy

·       Review and reconcile financial information

·       Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax forms

·       Maintain electronic workpapers and documentation for tax fillings in accordance with internal standards

 

Tax Projections & Special Projects

·       Assist tax consultants in preparing tax projections for bi-annual tax planning meetings

·       Assist with special tax projects and tax notices as needed

QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO FILL THIS SEAT

·       Requires a degree in accounting or finance

·       Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations

·       Strong attention to detail and organized

·       Experience with UltraTax is a bonus

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·       A willingness to continually learn and grow within the field of tax preparation

·       Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
