As a Senior LMFT, you will perform a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care techniques to empower their mental health journey.
• Monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with medical professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and foster a culture of continuous improvement in patient care.

Your primary focus will be on clients struggling with a range of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also provide tailored support to vulnerable populations such as individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your compassionate approach will help bridge cultural and socio-economic barriers to access mental health resources effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must hold an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and the ability to provide a safe therapeutic environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle caseloads efficiently.

While the minimum qualifications outlined are essential, candidates with additional experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, or working with addiction populations will be highly regarded.
