Your role as a Remote Licensed Professional Counselor involves a variety of critical tasks aimed at aiding clients on their mental health journeys. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and craft appropriate treatment strategies.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and fostering overall healing.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for patients.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their understanding and management of symptoms.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with both legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities that concentrate on trauma-informed care initiatives.
• Staying current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring evidence-based care for all clients.

Your counseling expertise will be directed toward a patient population that includes individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through their healing journeys, empowering them with the tools necessary to build resilience and foster psychological well-being.

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Texas.
• Proficient knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude, which helps form strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling tools.
• The capacity to thrive as a part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

While not mandatory, candidates who bring the following experiences will stand out:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing therapeutic services.
