Duties
Help

• Serves as a GEOSPATIAL Intelligence (GEOINT) Imagery Analyst.
• Processes raw imagery, data, and information from a variety of sensors and sources to develop tailored, focused, and time-sensitive GEOINT products for a variety of users.
• Applies a comprehensive knowledge of intelligence, imagery analysis, and research methodologies to develop foreign military unit and equipment databases.
• Responsible for the creation of GEOINT support to targeting related products.
• Responds to formal, informal requests for support and requests for information (RFI) from a variety of users and supported customers from tactical, operational and strategic level units, intelligence agencies and joint/sister services.
• Provides input into development, implementation and maintenance of new processes, projects, policies, and toolsets of Army, Defense and IC processing and exploitation programs that operationalize GEOINT.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience with GEOINT Intelligence analysis processes, cycle and organizations AND
Experience with GEOINT tools such as ESRI (ArcGIS), SocetGXP, Remote View, statistical analysis, graphics, and maps; AND
Experience with GEOINT systems, procedures, and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting, and dissemination of in-depth intelligence assessments; AND
Experience with National Systems for GEOINT organizations and their methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
