Job Title: Data Movement Engineer(Snowflake + Talend)

Location: New Haven, CT (Remote)

Duration: Contract 6+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Movement Engineer with strong Snowflake and ETL experience to design, optimize, and support enterprise data pipelines. This role combines hands‑on development, production support, and data architecture, ensuring high data quality, performance, and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize Snowflake data pipelines, models, and SQL queries
  • Support ETL workflows, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Implement CDC, SCD Type 2, and Data Vault / dimensional models
  • Perform root cause analysis for data issues and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Manage data quality checks, validations, and reconciliations
  • Support production systems (Snowflake, DB2, Airflow/ESP)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and support processes


Required Skills

  • 5+ years in data engineering / data warehousing
  • Strong Snowflake experience (development & data modeling)
  • Advanced SQL + scripting (Python / Shell)
  • Experience with ETL tools & orchestration (Airflow, ESP)
  • Knowledge of CDC, SCD Type 2, Data Vault / dimensional modeling
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, ServiceNow/Jira


Nice to Have
