The Role
Entegris is seeking a Director, Innovation, Portfolio Strategy, Process Excellence, to join our MS Business Operations team. The preferred location for this position will be onsite at a Materials Solutions divisional hub in one of the following locations : Aurora, IL; Burnet, TX; Danbury, CT; Taiwan. Remote with travel will be considered for the right candidate.
As the Director of Innovation Portfolio Strategy & Process Excellence, you will serve as a strategic leader focused on evaluating the effectiveness of innovation investments across the division. Partnering closely with R&D, product development, and business unit leaders, you will develop and apply robust models to assess the ROI, risk, and long-term value of initiatives. Your core mission is to ensure that the division is investing its dollars most effectively by providing data-driven insights that guide resource allocation, portfolio prioritization, and strategic decision-making.
You will lead divisionlevel Innovation portfolio management by setting strategic direction, establishing a scalable and rigorous management process, and ensuring clear communication, strong organizational discipline, and effective decisionmaking across the portfolio. You will lead efforts that enable profitable growth for the division by aligning industry and customer roadmaps to business strategy and opportunities. From there, you will monitor the ongoing health of the portfolio to ensure the division is on target to meet our long-term goals. This role requires a unique blend of corporate insight, business and financial acumen, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efforts are aligned with business growth and value creation.
You will be responsible for refining our development process to make certain it is effective and efficient for all not only our development team, but all of our team members across the organization. Through strong cross-functional collaboration and change management, this role will lead the rollout of development process improvements to drive effective adoption and meaningful organizational value.
This role answers the question: As a division, are we investing our innovation dollars most effectively? As a division, are we focused on the right areas for strategic growth where we can have long term competitive differentiation? How can we develop products that have long term commercial strength?
What You'll Do:
- Own the ongoing development of the Innovation stage gate process at the divisional level, ensuring it is efficient and effective
- Lead change management efforts and facilitate necessary training of the Innovation process(es).
- Lead Division-level portfolio management that ties together industry and customer roadmaps with business strategy.
- Develop and evaluate models (cost of ownership, business cases, forecasts, etc) to make strategic recommendations on growth initiatives.
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with key functional partners to ensure appropriate prioritization, support, and resources to successfully execute business strategy.
- Define sustainable key performance indicators (KPIs) to track success in all areas, such as portfolio management and profit center reviews.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as R&D, Engineering, Finance, Fab Technologies, Manufacturing, Legal and Supply Chain to accomplish business objectives.

- Customer Focus - Strong customer orientation and understanding of the application, passion for building relationships, effective at influencing the customer with experience of direct customer communication
- Experience managing/developing new product development programs for semiconductor fabrication consumables is required
- Technical proficiency in Copilot, Excel and PowerPoint ; SAP BPC and/or OneStream a plus; Proficient, to advanced knowledge of PowerBI is a plus; or managing dashboard development/automation
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives or projects with cross-functional team members; Comfortable dealing with a high degree of ambiguity and working through issues.
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related degree/discipline is required; advanced degree preferred; industry proven Financial acumen
- Experience - Minimum 10 years' experience
- Ability to travel 10-25% of the time; this will be more if new hire is based remotely
