Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments and screenings to evaluate patients’ mental health needs and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based counseling and crisis intervention services, aimed at addressing a multitude of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Facilitate virtual therapy groups and workshops focused on topics such as coping strategies, stress management, and personal development to enhance overall wellness.
• Collaborate with various healthcare teams, including medical staff and community organizations, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and improving access to services within the community.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately and confidentially in compliance with ethical and legal standards, maintaining a robust electronic health record.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you'll work with come from diverse backgrounds and face a wide range of mental health challenges. Your role will involve tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs, engaging patients in a supportive manner to foster trust and promote healing within varied cultural contexts.

Qualifications

• Possession of active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.
• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required; a Master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of mental health issues prevalent among diverse populations, especially those seen in a community health context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that enhance engagement with patients and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and short-term therapy techniques suitable for remote counseling.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment while effectively managing a diverse caseload.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in remote counseling or teletherapy is highly beneficial.
• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment, particularly with diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Engagement in initiatives aimed at community mental health education and intervention.
