Tagalog to English Translator and/or Editor – (Remote – ongoing basis)

Freelance Independent Contractor - as needed

*** Must be a U.S. citizen willing to undergo a Tier 1 background investigation, including fingerprinting.


Job Description:

We seek an experienced Tagalog-to-English translator and/or editor to join our team.

The work is for our U.S. client and requires full U.S. citizenship to translate vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts. The role will consist of translating and editing various types of documentation.





Requirements

1. A native speaker of Tagalog and near-native English.

2. Bachelor’s degree in translation or an equivalent qualification.

3. A minimum of two to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.

4. Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive.

5. A team player with excellent communication skills.

6. Must be equipped with up-to-date Windows software.

7. Excellent formatting skills.

8. Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines.

9. Able to provide per-word rates for either translations, editing, or both.

10. Willing to accept assignments as needed.
