We are hiring a Business Development professional for our Radio Test Products to drive adoption of our two-way radio test solutions across commercial and tactical markets, including radio OEMs, service and repair centers, and public safety and enterprise system operators. You'll work with commercial and military customers on functionality, integration, and technical problem solving using our radio test solutions and work closely with our radio test sales, PLM, and business development teams to grow our existing and future customer base.

Duties & Responsibilities:

VIAVI Solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development professional to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for our Radio Test Products. You'll work with commercial and military customers on functionality, integration, and technical problem solving using our radio test solutions and work closely with our radio test sales, PLM, and business development teams to grow our existing and future customer base.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and research new market opportunities, customer segments, and strategic partnerships aligned with VIAVI's product portfolio and corporate objectives.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and plans to penetrate new markets and acquire new customers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, technical leaders, and procurement teams, within prospective client organizations.

  • Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer needs assessments to inform business development initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to define compelling value propositions and tailor solutions to meet specific customer requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and business cases to prospective clients.

  • Negotiate and close complex business deals, ensuring alignment with company revenue goals and profitability targets.

  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Represent VIAVI Solutions at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and threats.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic account management within the telecommunications, networking, or test & measurement industries.

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, developing, and closing significant new business opportunities.

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, service assurance, and telecommunications technologies (e.g., 5G, fiber optics, cloud native networks).

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at all levels.
