Job description

Position Description The Seattle Fire Department is seeking a regular, full-time Administrative Staff Analyst to support the Mobile Integrated Health program. Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) provides enhanced services to frequent 911 callers, persons in crisis, highly complex patients, persons with non-emergent medical complaints, and those with social needs. It includes the Health One response team, the Vulnerable Adult reporting program, nurse practitioner unit, and client case management, all in partnership with the Seattle Human Services Department and Harborview Medical Center.

This position will report directly to the Program Manager and will provide direction, guidance, and support to SFD MIH, with a particular focus on substance use disorder programs, including overdose response and prevention. This position will work out of the Seattle Fire Department Headquarters in the Pioneer Square area. Some remote work may be possible.

Job Responsibilities Program support - Coordinate the development of policies, training materials, guides, and standard operating procedures. Advise in the implementation of strategic priorities. Schedule and attend partner and collaborator meetings and assist program staff with new partner development and implementation.

Develop, disseminate, and deliver training materials for MIH uniformed staff, MIH civilian staff, and SFD operations staff. Develop, write, or advise on new Departmental or City policies as needed. Research and data analysis - Coordinate overdose and substance use program measurement, evaluation, and reporting.

Lead the development of new or enhanced data collection tools. Implement continuous quality improvement/quality assessment measures. Assist program staff with technical reporting and data collection tools used by the team (ESO, CAD, HMIS, EPIC, Julota, Tableau, SharePoint, Pulsara, and others).

Regularly evaluate data collection and completeness efforts, assist with ongoing QI/QA, and meet with technical leads within Seattle IT among other vendors. Advise program staff on development of new dashboards, visualizations, data collection tools, and similar. Budget preparation - Coordinate the division's budget development and reporting.

Maintain current and accurate information on division spending, new needs, and unanticipated costs. Monitor program expenditures and assist as needed with any grant or special expense reporting. Communication - Develop internal department and division communications.

Serve as liaison with the ORCA Center, Seattle Medic One, King County Public Health, field providers, partner agencies, and related. Represent the department in meetings with external stakeholders including members of the media, elected officials, partner organizations, funders, scholarly organizations, and similar. Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requires two years of administrative experience and a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or related field (or a combination of education, training and/or experience that provides an equivalent background to perform the work of the class). A successful candidate will also possess the following experience and skills: Experience handling sensitive and confidential information. Experience performing data analysis.

Experience analyzing, maintaining, and preparing budgets. Ability to multitask and perform assigned work with frequent interruptions. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate program activities and priorities to a variety of external partners.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe. Proficiency working with databases. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Commitment to providing equitable service in a diverse environment. Experience with substance use disorder or healthcare is desired. Experience working in Fire, EMS, or Public Safety is desired.
