Job description


This role is 75% travel and remote when not traveling.
Responsibilities:
  • Support system adaptation activities, including data configuration, site-specific customization and integration.
  • Analyze and modify XML files used for system configuration and data exchange.
  • Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware systems at FAA facilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration records and site reports.
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians and FAA stakeholders to ensure timely support.
  • Comply with all FAA safety, security and quality standards during on-site work and travel.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for implementation activities for assigned TFDM Sites.
  • Develop Site Implementation Plans (SIP), and other supporting documentation to guide field deployments.
  • Coordinate with FAA to plan and execute system cutovers and deployments.
  • Support readiness assessments and ensure all prerequisites are met for implementation.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with engineering, program management, and operational stakeholders.
  • Track site readiness status, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and effective deployment.
  • Conduct site briefings as needed to prepare operational personnel for system implementation.
  • Provide implementation status reporting to program management, FAA leadership, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors in engineering discipline or other technical degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; may accept additional 5 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to communicate with various organizations within the FAA, including AJM, AJV, AJT, ANG, and NATCA.
  • Strong knowledge of ATC operations and NAS systems.
  • Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate technical and managerial expertise and be fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of NAS programs.
  • Work independently and provide over site to other.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task.
  • Detailed-oriented mindset and proficiency in researching and analyzing highly technical information and systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as, have the ability to identify and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of system investments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

Required Clearance:
  • US Citizenship.
  • FAA Suitability: ability to obtain and maintain public trust and customer approval.
