Job description

We are seeking experienced Structural Stress Engineers, Structural Design Engineers, and Systems Engineers to support advanced aerospace programs. Multiple opportunities are available across these engineering disciplines. Candidates do not need experience in all three areas; we are seeking engineers with strong expertise within their respective discipline.

The ideal candidates will bring hands-on aerospace experience supporting aircraft structures and/or systems, with experience working with metallic materials, composite materials, or both. Primary aircraft structure experience is strongly preferred.

Opportunities are available onsite in Wichita, Kansas and Falcon Hill, Utah, as well as remote positions depending on the specific program and engineering discipline.

Structural Design Engineering

Structural Design Engineers will support the development, modification, and integration of aircraft structural components and assemblies.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Design and develop aircraft structural components, assemblies, and installations.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support metallic and composite aircraft structures, with primary structure experience preferred.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Evaluate structural designs for manufacturability, installation, maintainability, and integration.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support design changes, modifications, repairs, and engineering investigations.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, and other engineering organizations.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Utilize CATIA V5 and SolidWorks in support of design activities.

Structural Stress Engineering

Structural Stress Engineers will perform analysis and substantiation of aircraft structures supporting new designs, modifications, repairs, and program requirements.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform structural analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Evaluate primary structural components and assemblies.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform static strength, fatigue, durability, and damage-tolerance analysis as applicable.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support structural sizing, design optimization, modifications, and repairs.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop engineering calculations, reports, and structural substantiation documentation.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform finite element analysis using ANSYS and/or Abaqus.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate closely with Structural Design Engineers to develop practical and structurally sound solutions.

Systems Engineering

Systems Engineers will support the development, integration, and verification of complex aircraft systems and their interfaces.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support aircraft systems development, integration, installation, and verification.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and manage system-level requirements and interfaces.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Evaluate system architecture and integration requirements.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Coordinate engineering activities across structural, electrical, mechanical, avionics, and other technical disciplines.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support system-level design reviews, technical investigations, and engineering changes.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Identify and resolve interface and integration issues.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop engineering documentation supporting system design, integration, and verification.

Requirements

ย ย ย ย ย ย  U.S. Citizenship is required.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Previous aerospace or defense engineering experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Expertise in Structural Stress, Structural Design, or Systems Engineering.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience supporting programs involving metallic structures, composite structures, or both.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Primary aircraft structure experience is strongly preferred for Structural Stress and Structural Design positions.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with CATIA V5 and SolidWorks.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Structural Stress candidates should have experience with ANSYS and/or Abaqus.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
