Job description

Team Red Dog is hiring a Senior Accounting Systems Analyst for our client, a Fortune 50 technology leader and enterprise data solutions provider. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of accounting operations, SAP S/4HANA transformation, and finance systems enablement within a highly visible corporate accounting environment. This role will support monthly close activities, intercompany accounting processes, UAT testing, SAP finance systems, and Power BI reporting while partnering closely with accounting, finance systems, and engineering stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy combining operational accounting expertise with systems testing, process improvement, and enterprise-scale finance transformation initiatives.

How you will make an impact:

• Support monthly accounting close activities, including intercompany accounting processes, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial validation
• Review and investigate intercompany transactions and balances while helping resolve accounting discrepancies and timing issues
• Assist with SAP general ledger maintenance, data governance activities, and master data quality reviews
• Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting and finance systems, including SAP S/4HANA-related initiatives
• Validate accounting outcomes across systems and compare source system data against downstream reporting outputs
• Document testing results, defects, and issue resolution activities while partnering with finance systems, engineering, and IT teams
• Refresh and maintain Power BI reporting used to support accounting operations and financial analysis
• Support test readiness activities, including access validation, scenario setup, and testing documentation management
• Collaborate with accounting teams, program stakeholders, and systems teams to ensure smooth close execution and successful system implementations

The expertise you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years of accounting close execution experience supporting financial operations and accounting processes
• 3–5+ years of experience working with SAP Finance systems, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable ERP platforms
• 2–4+ years of experience executing UAT testing for accounting or finance systems
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
• Experience documenting test evidence, logging defects, and validating system fixes across finance platforms
• Hands-on experience partnering with finance systems teams, engineering teams, or IT stakeholders
• Experience with Power BI reporting and financial data analysis preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage deadline-driven work

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:

Successful candidates combine strong accounting fundamentals with the ability to operate comfortably in systems-driven finance environments. They are highly detail-oriented, thrive in deadline-sensitive close cycles, and can confidently support UAT testing, defect tracking, and accounting validation activities across large enterprise platforms. Candidates who have experience supporting ERP transformations, SAP S/4HANA initiatives, or finance systems modernization efforts will stand out, particularly if they can bridge communication between accounting, engineering, and IT teams. Professionals who are proactive, collaborative, and process-improvement focused tend to excel in this environment.
