Job Description:

Shield AI is seeking a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems Administrator to support and maintain our PLM ecosystem, with a primary focus on Siemens Teamcenter. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and continuous improvement of PLM systems that enable engineering and manufacturing workflows.

This is a hands-on role focused on system administration, user support, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting Teamcenter or a similar PLM platform and has a strong foundation in PLM concepts and engineering system integrations.

This role is intended to be based in Dallas, TX.

What you'll do:
  • Administer, support, and maintain PLM systems, primarily Siemens Teamcenter
  • Perform system configuration, upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance across PLM environments (production and test)
  • Support multi-tier PLM architecture including web, enterprise, and database layers
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents impacting engineering users
  • Support environment management, including refreshes, deployments, and basic automation of repeatable tasks
  • Assist with implementation of new features, modules, and system enhancements
  • Provide day-to-day support to engineering users, including issue resolution, training, and documentation
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering, and business systems teams to support integrations with ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems
  • Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system capabilities
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3-5 years of experience administering or supporting PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred; other PLM platforms acceptable)
  • Working knowledge of PLM concepts, including product structures, workflows, and lifecycle management
  • Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
  • Familiarity with system administration fundamentals (patching, monitoring, backups, troubleshooting)
  • Basic understanding of database-backed applications and multi-tier architectures
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter (installation, configuration, or support)
  • Experience with CAD integrations (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, CATIA)
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
  • Exposure to cloud or virtualization platforms (Azure, VMware, or similar)
  • Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with system integrations across PLM, ERP, or MES platforms
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth or defense-related environment
