Remote Sweepstakes information

What is a remote sweepstakes?

Remote sweepstakes jobs typically involve working from home to manage or promote sweepstakes, contests, and giveaways for companies or marketing agencies. These roles may include tasks like verifying entries, responding to inquiries, selecting winners, or helping design promotional materials. They often require strong organizational and communication skills, and may be part-time or project-based positions. It's important to carefully research job offers in this area, as some may be scams. Always verify the legitimacy of a company before providing personal information or accepting an offer.

To thrive as a Remote Sweepstakes Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in marketing or promotions, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and time management are crucial soft skills for coordinating entries and ensuring compliance. These skills are essential for running successful, legally compliant campaigns that engage participants and protect the company's reputation.

Job description

ABOUT DSC:

In 2011, Dollar Shave Club didn't just shake up the shaving aisle—we reinvented it. A viral video put us on the map, and our direct-to-consumer model challenged an entire industry by making great razors accessible, affordable, and actually fun to buy.

Since then, we've grown far beyond blades. From grooming to personal care, we've built a lineup of quality essentials designed to make life easier (and smoother), whether you find us online or in stores near you.

Today, DSC is expanding into new categories and new markets, but our DNA hasn't changed. We're still here to cut the BS, deliver real value, and bring a little humor to the everyday routine.

So what are you waiting for? Join the Club.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Interim General Counsel (Maternity Coverage), you will lead the legal team providing timely, high quality, and commercially minded legal support to our business partners. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will serve as part of the organization's Executive Team acting as a strategic partner to offer counsel on legal issues, ensuring legal compliance and limiting risk exposure. You will advise the company on a broad range of legal areas including corporate affairs, commercial transactions, advertising/marketing clearance, data privacy, intellectual property, and other matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Legal Team: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of legal professionals — setting priorities, allocating workload across business partner functions, and managing outside counsel relationships and budgets.
  • Corporate: Provide advice regarding transactional and corporate governance matters.
  • Contract: Provide legal support for a wide variety of commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating service and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, manufacturing and supplier agreements, leases, and employment and consulting agreements.
  • Marketing, Brand & Commercial Strategy: Advise Brand on owned and paid media, influencer and brand ambassador agreements, sponsorships, experiential marketing and events, creative content, and sweepstakes and promotions, while helping shape DSC's broader commercial strategy for consumer products.
  • Consumer Protection & Ecommerce Laws: Counsel Direct to Consumer team on e-commerce and online sales practices, including website terms of service and privacy policy, disclosures, and checkout flows. Advise on subscription, auto-renewal, and negative-option programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state requirements governing disclosures, consent, and cancellation.
  • Data Privacy: Advise cross-functional teams on compliance with areas of data use and protection laws, including state/federal consumer protection and privacy laws, GDPR and other global privacy laws.
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • JD degree with license to practice with at least one state bar; must be in good standing.
  • At least 10+ years of generalist legal experience; prior experience working in-house is required.
  • Deep experience drafting and negotiating broad range of commercial contracts.
  • Regulatory Depth: Strong working knowledge of data use and protection laws (including state/federal consumer protection and privacy laws, CCPA, GDPR and other global privacy laws), consumer protection frameworks, retail and e-commerce law, and marketing/advertising compliance.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience and/or ecommerce experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of best practices in managing intellectual property interests in transactional matters preferred, but not required.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to distill complex legal issues for both legal and non-legal audiences.
  • Ability to handle a high-degree ambiguity, prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple cross-functional projects to completion with little direction, and quickly shift from one situation or task to another.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a sense of humor.

POSITION TYPE:

This is a temporary, part-time position. The temporary hire will provide coverage while a permanent staff member is on maternity leave, and overlap will be provided for training and onboarding. Employment is expected to be four months in duration, beginning on approximately October 1, 2026. The duration of employment may be extended or shortened at Dollar Shave Club's discretion.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
