Job description

Ethos Risk Services is a national provider of investigation, surveillance, medical management, and SIU services to property and casualty insurance carriers, with deep specialization in Workers' Compensation. For 25 years, our investigators, nurses, and analysts have helped adjusters resolve claims faster, more accurately, and with better outcomes. As part of our commitment to innovation, we developed Pathfinder, an AI-powered claims platform that helps claim professionals make faster, smarter decisions through data-driven insights that improve efficiency and reduce claim leakage.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our Ethos team is seeking a full-time Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of our AI-powered claims decision support platform, Pathfinder. This individual contributor role will own the product roadmap, drive AI product strategy, prioritize customer needs, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions for the insurance industry.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys building AI-powered products, working closely with engineering, sales, operations, and executive leadership, and translating customer feedback into meaningful product enhancements. The successful candidate will help shape the future of AI within workers' compensation and broader property & casualty claims.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the Product Roadmap – Develop, prioritize, and maintain the Pathfinder product roadmap based on customer feedback, business priorities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead AI Product Development – Guide the evolution of Pathfinder's recommendation engine by defining AI behavior, prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and product improvements.
  • Gather & Translate Customer Feedback – Partner with pilot customers, claims professionals, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and transform insights into actionable product enhancements.
  • Drive Product Strategy – Collaborate with executive leadership to execute the long-term vision for Pathfinder while ensuring product decisions align with business goals.
  • Expand Platform Integrations – Define requirements and prioritize integrations with insurance core systems, third-party data providers, and external partners.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally – Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
  • Measure Product Performance – Establish KPIs, monitor product performance, analyze user behavior, and leverage data to continuously improve product outcomes.
  • Support AI Governance & Compliance – Help maintain explainable AI practices, documentation, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated insurance environment.
  • Represent the Product – Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, pilot programs, and strategic discussions with insurance carrier partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (required). MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of product management experience, including ownership of customer-facing software products.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience building and launching AI, machine learning, or LLM-powered products in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with modern generative AI technologies, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM APIs, and model evaluation methodologies.
  • Experience working within or alongside insurance claims organizations, such as Workers' Compensation, Property & Casualty, SIU, claims operations, or claims technology.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product roadmaps, prioritizing competing initiatives, and delivering successful software products.

Preferred Experience:

  • Workers' Compensation product experience.
  • Experience with insurance core systems such as Guidewire ClaimCenter, Duck Creek, Origami Risk, or PCMS.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, regulatory compliance, and explainable AI within insurance.
  • Experience integrating third-party insurance data providers such as Verisk, ISO, NCCI, NICB, or similar.
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks for generative AI products.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position operates in a remote environment with frequent use of computers and office equipment. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, regular communication via phone and email, and managing multiple systems simultaneously.
