About the Role
ShareSTAFF is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a temp-to-hire assignment at a Remote in Phoenix, Arizona. ShareSTAFF Healthcare is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build ETL pipelines and data integrations supporting a federal healthcare Salesforce Health Cloud implementation. You'll own the full data engineering lifecycle — requirements gathering, data modeling, bidirectional ETL between source systems and Salesforce using Data Loader and Azure tools, and post-implementation support — while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, DoD, and federal security standards.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Architects to build conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Salesforce data repositories
  • Own bidirectional ETL movement of data between source feeds (files, X12, etc.) and Salesforce using Data Loader and Azure tools
  • Promote and ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Salesforce HealthCloud application
  • Ingest, validate, and process incoming data
  • Apply business rules for conversions, data backloads, and outgoing data files
  • Develop and coordinate unit/integration test plans
  • Evaluate test results and defect logs
  • Analyze, design, and develop code supporting Salesforce data integration with third-party applications and vendors
  • Identify root cause and resolve critical data issues
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with TriWest HIPAA, privacy, and government security policies
  • Act as a technical resource for application developers, data administrators, and department data users
What You Bring - Required
  • U.S. Citizenship required — no exceptions
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication under a DoD background investigation (Interim and Final)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (with programming/database coursework), or equivalent database development experience
  • 5+ years in a Data Engineering role
  • 2+ years experience with Azure
  • 3+ years developing data integration source code in SQL or equivalent
  • Experience with ETL involving both structured and semi-structured data
  • Experience gathering business requirements from cross-functional teams
  • Experience with SDLC processes and DevOps
What You Bring - Preferred
  • 2+ years with Databricks, preferably within Azure Cloud
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Data Governance
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or Microsoft SSIS data integration services
  • Experience with SQL Server and Snowflake in Azure Cloud
