Pay Range:

$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities: Accurate utilization of computerized central scheduling system to provide customers with timely, courteous, and proficient scheduling. Appropriately uses tools and resources to prevent scheduling conflicts and ensures proper test sequencing when multiple testing is ordered. Accurately enters all required patient Registration data (i.e. demographic, insurance, contacts). Ensures patients are registered within time frame set by policies. Completes the Medicare Questionnaire for all Medicare patients. Maintains knowledge of and reference materials for Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer requirements, guidelines and policies, insurance plans requiring pre-authorization/referral and a list of current accepted insurance plans. Provides patients/customers with accurate preparation and arrival instructions prior to exam. Accurately obtains and transcribes orders for scheduled outpatient exams. Participates in department staff meetings and keeps abreast of continuing education to ensure effective communication and to maintain skill competency. Attends all mandatory in-services 100% and completes all mandatory safety in-services and skill competencies as required. Seeks education opportunities to increase knowledge in department procedures as it relates specifically to scheduling needs for that area.
