Job description

The Remote Supervising Litigation Attorney will lead and manage a small team of attorneys specializing in civil and commercial litigation. This fully remote position requires overseeing case management, ensuring quality legal research and document drafting, coordinating court filings, and providing training and negotiation support. The role demands strong leadership to guide a small team of 1-3 attorneys primarily focused on commercial and civil litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution
  • Conduct and oversee detailed legal research
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Coordinate and file court documents in accordance with deadlines
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of 1-3 attorneys
  • Lead negotiation efforts in civil and commercial litigation matters
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination in a fully remote environment
  • Provide training and professional development for team members

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice in Illinois

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in litigation
