Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, initial assessments and ongoing screenings of clients to understand their substance abuse histories, mental health status, and specific treatment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both addiction issues and any underlying psychological conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of clients, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Collaborate actively with treatment team members, including case managers and medical staff, to provide integrated and cohesive care for clients.
• Engage with families of clients, providing support and education to foster involvement in the recovery process and promote systemic healing.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of client progress and treatment outcomes in alignment with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults facing challenges associated with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. This diverse clientele may include individuals dealing with chronic addiction issues, dual diagnoses, or various psychological challenges stemming from their substance use. Your understanding and responsiveness to the unique needs of each client will be crucial in helping them regain control of their lives.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is essential.
• Demonstrated competency in addiction counseling and familiarity with substance abuse treatment techniques.
• Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices tailored to both substance abuse and concurrent mental health disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills, with a strong ability to build rapport and motivate clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Strong team-oriented communication skills to enhance collaboration with colleagues and other members of the treatment team.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of direct experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting, ideally focusing on outpatient therapy.
• Familiarity with telehealth modalities and online counseling platforms to effectively engage clients remotely.
• Advanced training in specialized therapeutic approaches specific to addiction recovery.
