Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of each client's counseling needs, integrating a multi-faceted understanding of their mental health and substance use issues.
  • Utilize the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to diagnose substance abuse issues, determining appropriate interventions in alignment with ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) level-of-care guidelines.
  • Craft the substance abuse counseling component of individualized treatment plans, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive discharge and continuum-of-care plans, facilitating smooth transitions to the next level of care as necessary.
