  • Evaluate policy coverage and confirm eligibility for subrogation recovery.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to establish liability against at-fault parties.

  • Obtain additional evidence necessary to strengthen subrogation demands, including:
    • Insured and witness statements
    • Surveillance or security video
    • Photographs
    • Accident reports
    • Vehicle inspections
    • Any other documentation supporting liability and damages
  • Prepare and present comprehensive subrogation demands to adverse carriers or responsible parties.
  • Negotiate settlements to maximize recoveries while maintaining compliance with company guidelines.
  • Identify claims with litigation potential by evaluating liability, damages, collectability, and available evidence.
  • Review files to determine whether litigation is appropriate and refer qualifying claims for legal action.
  • Assess collectability of claims and recommend appropriate recovery strategies.
  • Work closely with attorneys, vendors, investigators, and internal departments throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claim documentation in the claim management system.
  • Manage diary activities to ensure timely follow-up and compliance with department standards.
  • Meet departmental productivity, quality, and recovery goals.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recovery outcomes and contribute ideas that increase department performance and overall recoveries.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an adjuster.
  • Adjuster's License.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Windows-based applications and internet usage.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound judgments and handle multiple claims simultaneously.

BENEFITS:
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer match.
  • Comprehensive Medical, Prescription Drug, Vision, and Dental Insurance
  • Paid Time Off, Holidays, and Leave programs.
