What is a remote study abroad program?

A remote study abroad program allows students to participate in international education experiences from their home country through online courses and virtual cultural activities. These programs are designed to provide global learning, language immersion, and cross-cultural exchange without the need to travel. They often include virtual internships, language lessons, and real-time collaboration with international peers. Remote study abroad is a flexible and cost-effective alternative for students who cannot travel due to personal, financial, or global reasons.

Exceptional organizational skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders make someone stand out in this position. These skills are critical for delivering seamless, engaging, and safe international experiences in a remote setting.

As an LMFT within our organization, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality marital and family therapy services, addressing diverse mental health needs within the Pomona, California community and beyond.

About the Organization

At Health Assessment & Counseling PLLC, we pride ourselves on fostering a progressive and compassionate environment dedicated to mental health care. With cutting-edge technology and an emphasis on professional development, we ensure our therapists have the necessary resources to thrive while delivering superior service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand clients' backgrounds, presenting issues, and mental health history, thus facilitating the development of individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services, including individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, applying evidence-based interventions tailored to each clientโ€™s unique context.
  • Engage in collaborative care by working alongside psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and psychiatrists to ensure holistic treatment approaches and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and training programs, contributing to your professional development and keeping abreast of best practices and recent advancements in the field.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all client interactions, aligning with legal requirements and our organization's policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from varied cultural backgrounds, adult couples, and families. An understanding of the complexities faced by different demographics โ€” including but not limited to socio-economic factors, relationship dynamics, and generational issues โ€” is essential in providing effective therapy. Your expertise will empower clients to enhance their relationships and cope with personal challenges they may face.

Qualifications

  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California, with an emphasis on compliance with state laws and regulations.
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting, demonstrating competence in therapeutic practices.
  • Experience providing therapy to diversified populations, showcasing adaptability and sensitivity to varying client needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of diagnostic tools and treatment planning processes utilizing the DSM-5.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
  • Proficient in navigating electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with specialized client groups, such as at-risk youth or couples facing significant relational challenges.
  • Familiarity with community resources to assist clients in accessing additional support services as needed.
  • Engagement in professional networks or studies that promote best practices in marriage and family therapy.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.

  • Professional liability insurance coverage for your peace of mind.
  • Unlimited referrals to ensure a fulfilling caseload without the stress of restrictive limits.
  • Minimal paperwork, allowing you to focus more on client care rather than administrative tasks.

We offer continuous learning opportunities, access to workshops and training, and the potential for advancement within the organization. As our team grows, there may be opportunities to take on leadership roles or specialize in areas of interest that align with your passion and expertise.
