Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of students requiring psychosocial support by employing a comprehensive approach to assess social, emotional, and cultural factors impacting their educational experience.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing various therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Lead initiatives to address protective service issues and assist families with making informed life care decisions, ensuring that students’ rights and preferences are prioritized throughout their treatment process.
  • Educate and coordinate with families, caregivers, and community resources, proactively connecting them to available support services to prevent hospital readmissions and enhance ongoing care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior social workers, interns, and volunteers, ensuring high standards of practice and effective service delivery.
  • Respond promptly to psychosocial service requests, coordinating with the healthcare team to facilitate timely intervention and minimize delays in care.
  • Participate in team rounds and case conferences to integrate insights from various disciplines into cohesive care strategies.
