Job description

Position Overview

Pavilion Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time, remote position within a school environment. This role is crucial in facilitating emotional and psychological support for students, helping them navigate challenges that could impede their academic and personal growth.

About the Organization

Pavilion Counseling Services is an esteemed rehabilitation center renowned for its commitment to helping individuals regain their independence and enhance their quality of life following injury, illness, or disability. We specialize in delivering a spectrum of rehabilitation services tailored to a diverse patient population. Our reputation is built on a foundation of specialized expertise, evidence-based methodologies, and a staunch dedication to maximizing our patients’ functional independence.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, enabling you to provide crucial social work support from the comfort of your own home. Our interdisciplinary team collaboratively addresses the physical and psychosocial needs of our patients, and while the role is remote, you will maintain close collaboration with educators, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments utilizing interviews, observations, and detailed reviews of medical and educational records to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors impacting the recovery and academic performance of students.
  • Deliver counseling and emotional support to students and their families, particularly in addressing adjustment concerns, coping with change, and navigating the emotional landscape of recovery.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that address the psychosocial needs of each student, integrating therapy goals with educational outcomes.
  • Empower students by facilitating access to a variety of community resources and support programs, including specialized support groups, vocational rehabilitation services, and housing assistance as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families about available community resources and sustainable post-rehabilitation services to foster continued progress beyond the treatment setting.
  • Actively participate in discharge planning with a focus on smooth transitions to home or other care settings, ensuring that all necessary services are in place.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students coping with physical, emotional, or developmental challenges while ensuring their social reintegration into educational settings. You will work with a patient population that includes, but is not limited to, children and adolescents with disabilities, mental health issues, and those transitioning back to school environments after rehabilitation.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, which has equipped you with a deep understanding of psychosocial dynamics.
  • A valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, illustrating your capacity to connect empathetically with students and their families.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working within rehabilitation or medical settings is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing adjustment issues, grief, and coping strategies unique to children and adolescents.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, supplemented by potential bonuses. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:

  • Comprehensive health insurance for employees and their families, ensuring well-being and peace of mind.
  • Retirement plans with employer contributions to help secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off that encompasses vacation days, sick leave, and public holidays.
  • Continuous professional development opportunities, including workshops and training sessions designed to enhance your skills and knowledge base.
  • Insurance options that cater to different needs, enhancing the overall compensation structure.
Career Growth Opportunities

Pavilion Counseling Services encourages professional development and offers opportunities for advancement within the organization. This role provides a platform to expand your clinical expertise, gain valuable interdisciplinary experience, and take on leadership positions as you progress in your career.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Pavilion Counseling Services means becoming part of a collaborative and dedicated team focused on patient-centered care. Here, you will not only make a difference in the lives of students but also contribute to a broader mission of enhancing rehabilitation services.
