The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join our IT team based in our Canton, MA; Boston, MA; Farmington, CT or Raleigh, NC offices on a hybrid schedule.  As a member of the Information Technology team, the Senior Program Manager is a senior level individual contributor responsible for the overall planning, coordination and execution of multiple large scale, complex technology initiatives, often requiring the engagement of resources from multiple functional areas.  As the point of contact for the business sponsor and project team, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for strategic project planning, scope management, scheduling and budgeting.  The Senior Program Manager will ensure that team members and stakeholders have a clear understanding of project objectives and will assist in the identification of tasks, manage progress to plan, escalate issues as necessary and communicate on a regular basis with stakeholders. Some of the Senior Program Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand and articulate the business need and project objectives, ensuring team members have a clear view of the desired outcome.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including project tasks, resource requirements, budget, timelines, milestones and success criteria.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and resource constraints. 
  • Monitor and report on key project milestones.
  • Manage changes in project scope, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Track and report on key project milestones.  Make recommendations for necessary adjustments to project plans and/ or assigned resources to meet project objectives. 
  • Identify, monitor and communicate project related issues and risks.  Where necessary, recommend mitigation strategies or other solutions to business sponsor or IT management.
  • Provide direction, support and leadership to project teams, which may involve members of multiple functional departments, vendors and contractors.
  • Work with project teams and end users to coordinate systems testing, training and support. 

The expertise you bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 7-10 years of IT project management or related business work experience, with at least 3-5 years managing large scale, complex projects.
  • Experience with meeting facilitation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership and teambuilding skills.

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $126,000 - $168,000 based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $147,000 - $172,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
