Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of 20–25 construction industry clients, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted financial partner.
  • Supervise and support a team of Analysts and Associates, ensuring timely, accurate delivery of weekly, monthly, and annual financial outputs.
  • Run weekly Zoom-based Client Check-In™ meetings, providing insight, recommendations, and clarity to clients based on job-costed financials.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of revenue recognition models (e.g., Completed Contract, Percentage of Completion, APB WIPAA) across client files.
  • Ensure successful integration with CMS platforms (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, JobTread, Adaptive, Procore), managing job cost reporting and syncing financial workflows.
  • Manage urgent client triage issues and facilitate smooth transitions through onboarding, repairs, and cleanups (via the Precision Bookkeeping Formula™).
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of internal tools, documentation (PCA Playbook™), and processes to ensure scalable client delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • 7+ years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a client-facing leadership role.
  • Direct experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously.
  • QuickBooks Online Pro-Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex client relationships.
  • Ability to present and explain financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of construction accounting, including job costing, payroll allocations, subcontractor billing, and revenue recognition models.
  • Experience with construction management platforms such as Buildertrend, CoConstruct, JobTread, or Procore.
  • Direct experience with Sage Intacct.
  • Exposure to multi-entity accounting and advanced reporting tools (e.g., cash flow forecasting, backlog tracking, KPI dashboards).

Why Join Apparatus?
