Job description

Strata Information Group (SIG) is a trusted leader in higher‑education technology consulting, supporting colleges and universities with ERP/SIS modernization, digital transformation, CRM, cybersecurity, and strategic advisory services. As a long‑standing and deeply embedded partner within the higher‑education sector, SIG brings together technical depth, operational insight, and a culture rooted in integrity, collaboration, and exceptional client service. Our heritage is built on hands‑on expertise, genuine relationships, and a commitment to delivering value with humility and excellence—values that continue to define us as we scale.

Business Transformation Analyst Consultant

SIG is seeking a Senior Consultant to specialize in Business Process and Change Management. The underlying premise of SIG's BPA methodology is that technology alone cannot solve process issues. But that technology, in concert with reimagining the process, can result in significant gains. By assembling stakeholders around the same table at the same time, the team can take a step back, map the current process, and identify the obstacles and opportunities for improvement. In our experience, by gathering people at the table together – from the beginning of a project – the likelihood of success increases significantly; not simply making marginal improvements, but transformational change. These workshops not only set the trajectory toward "ideal" processes that take full advantage of the technology, they build consensus and momentum for change. This position travels 50-75% of the time to client sites, the remaining time is remote from home.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

This role combines process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership to assess current operations, identify improvement opportunities, and design sustainable future-state solutions across functional areas such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Finance, HR, Payroll, and Academic Affairs. The ideal candidate excels at facilitating workshops, mapping business processes, evaluating technology and SaaS readiness, and translating findings into actionable recommendations. They must also be skilled at navigating complex organizational dynamics, building trust with stakeholders at all levels, and driving adoption of new processes and ways of working through effective communication, critical thinking, and change management strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience working within a higher education institution
  • 5 or more years of experience in Business Process Analysis, Organizational Change Management or related transformation-focused role
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating process discovery sessions, documenting current-state workflows, and designing future-state business processes
  • Strong ability to facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews, document current-state processes, and design clear, actionable future-state workflows across complex functional areas
  • Demonstrated expertise in higher education operations (e.g., Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Finance, HR, Payroll, Academic Affairs, Student Success).
  • Proven experience navigating complex organizational dynamics, building trust with stakeholders at all levels, and effectively engaging executive leadership through strong communication and executive-level storytelling
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify root causes, interpret behavioral and organizational signals, and translate insights into evidence-based recommendations
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, including ERP/SaaS assessments, process improvement, and change management strategies that drive adoption and sustained organizational change
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience desirable

Pay and Benefits

  • The salary range is $90,000 -$120,000
  • Health, Vision, Dental & Life Insurance
  • Short & Long Term Disability
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • 3 Weeks Vacation, Sick Leave & Paid Holidays
  • 401(K) with a 5% Employer Contribution
  • Pet Insurance
  • Connectivity stipend

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
