Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Texas.

Responsible for system integration testing (SIT) of changes across CAB Technology applications. Coordinates testing and evaluation activities that identify issues, trends and gaps in existing programs. Provides and independent assessment of the programs, policies and procedures tested and provides feedback to management. Works with the testing lead to create the test plan and strategy. Updates testing metrics daily and provides results to the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead. May be responsible for leading defects or other testing meetings if the test lead is unavailable.


Responsibilities
  • Independent Testing & Validation - Writes test cases based on requirements and user stories provided and performs manual testing as needed. Creates testing plans and test cases and loads them into the appropriate tools. Participates in defect meetings and overall project plan routines to present analysis on current defects as well as re-tested defects.
  • SDLC and Change Management Compliance – Provide all artifacts required from QA for SDLC and Change Management.
  • Data Analysis - Sources, compiles and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiency and effectively communicates output of analysis.
  • Risk Management - Contributes to the mitigation of risk in the Information Technology organization by thoroughly testing and performing quality checks of existing programs, policies and procedures.
  • Representing QA team on various meetings to ensure quality is a priority in all efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organization

OR

High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organization

License or Certification Type: American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certificaiton(s) Preferred

Preferred experience:

  • Experience analyzing and reviewing User Stories/Business requirements for testability, asking clarifying questions to script and execute SIT by deliverables.
  • Ability to determine test data needs for SIT ensuring test data with respect to synthetic data requirements and omits any personal identification (PII) data from created test data.
  • Ability to follow SDLC procedures and policies to ensure compliance, segregation of duties, and produce all mandatory artifacts from a change perspective.
  • Ability to own a user story from beginning to end by working across teams with Business partners to ensure User Acceptance testing reflects business processes and workflows and is completed.
  • Ability to raise issues to Business partners and lead calls to analyze issues and determine resolution. If necessary, engage other impacted Business teams, to achieve resolution.
  • Responsible for performing independent quality checks and developing methods of measuring the quality and performance of the functional testing processes.
  • Coordinates testing and evaluation activities that identify issues, trends, and gaps in existing programs.
  • Provides an independent assessment of the programs, policies, and procedures tested and provides feedback to management.
  • Works with the testing lead in creating the test plan and QA Strategy (project-focused) or Ways of Working (business as usual-focused).
  • Updates testing metrics on a daily basis and provides results to the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead.
  • Attends daily stand-up calls and reports on current SIT testing status to Scrum Master and Product Owners.
