Overview:

The Operations Finance Manager, reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance, is responsible for delivering financial analysis and insights to enable informed decision-making and drive operational and financial performance. This person will partner with the Business Unit Operations Leaders, focusing on gross margin, product costing, overhead, bill of materials, and inventory across the manufacturing footprint.

Responsibilities:

Gross Margin Analysis

  • Analyze cost of goods sold versus budget, forecast, and prior year; identify risks and mitigation actions that include detailed gross margin analysis by product line, with visibility into systems, installation, warranty, manufacturing cost, freight, rework, and other direct costs.
  • Track material cost reductions and operational margin improvements against targets.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership key drivers and recommend actions to improve profitability.

Product Costing & Forecasting

  • Support implementation and governance of product line costing structures in a high-growth environment.
  • Maintain forecasting models supporting production growth, including in-house and outsourced scenarios.
  • Align cost assumptions with operational plans, capacity, and supply chain strategies.

Overhead & Cost Management

  • Ensure appropriate application of manufacturing overhead across product lines and sites.
  • Monitor absorption, direct and indirect cost, fixed and variable cost, production variances; provide actionable insights.

BOM & Cost Structure

  • Provide oversight to validate cost accuracy and identify cost reduction opportunities for the BOM's.
  • Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to align cost structures with sourcing and design changes.

Inventory & Forecast Alignment

  • Align inventory forecasts across product lines and regions.
  • Monitor inventory performance versus targets.
  • Identify risks and drive actions to achieve inventory and margin objectives.

Metrics, Performance & Process Improvement

  • Deliver KPI's on cost efficiency, manufacturing performance, inventory health, and margin.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Drive improvements in costing, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Enhance profitability visibility through standardized reporting and analytics.
  • Support system and process improvements leveraging ERP tools (SAP preferred).
  • Perform ad hoc analysis supporting strategic and operational priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required; MBA a plus. 10 years of experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting is also required. Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities (Excel required)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • ERP experience required; SAP experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and manufacturing cost structures
  • Deep expertise in complex product costing and proven experience working in a global operations and supply chain environment
  • Technology systems manufacturing within the semiconductor industry, or related industry experience preferred
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and operational change
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $124,000-$160,000, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
