This position offers the flexibility of remote work, primarily focused on supporting clients attending our detox center. • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients facing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disturbances, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments to prepare and implement personalized care plans in conjunction with clients' needs and preferences.
• Maintain an active caseload, ensuring timely interventions through ongoing counseling sessions and support.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, promoting a unified approach to client care and treatment goals.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed, offering immediate support to clients in moments of distress.
• Monitor service delivery statistics including client admission, retention, and progress toward discharge criteria.
• Develop and sustain professional relationships with clients, families, and external resources to provide comprehensive care.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives by participating in team and organizational committees aimed at enhancing service delivery.
• Uphold ethical practices consistent with professional guidelines and internal codes of conduct.

The focus of this role is on clients attending the detox center, who often grapple with substance use and associated mental health issues. You will engage with a diverse population, requiring sensitivity to varying backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems. Your ability to establish trust and rapport with clients is essential for promoting their empowerment and recovery journey.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut is required.
• Strong knowledge of assessment methodologies, treatment planning, risk assessment, and crisis management techniques.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate treatment plans and interact effectively with clients and teammates.
• Organizational and planning skills to ensure effective management of cases and adherence to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a mindset focused on diversity, embracing different traditions, beliefs, and interpersonal dynamics.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinician, preferably within mental health or addiction recovery settings. Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish will be highly regarded, enhancing the team's ability to serve a broader client base.
