This remote position affords you the flexibility to deliver high-quality therapy to diverse populations while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our ideal candidate is passionate about providing compassionate and personalized mental healthcare, with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for clients.

About the Organization

At St. Jude Behavioral Health Center, we are driven by our mission to transform lives by ensuring access to trusted and affordable mental health services. Our team is composed of forward-thinking professionals who are committed to integrating physical and mental healthcare. We strive to create a supportive environment that fosters personal and professional growth among our team members while enabling us to provide superior care to the communities we serve.

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while connecting with clients through our user-friendly telehealth platform. Our community health clinic operates with a collaborative approach, providing therapists with comprehensive administrative support, enabling them to focus purely on patient care. This culture of teamwork not only enhances job satisfaction but also amplifies the effectiveness of the services we provide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to gain insights into clients' mental health conditions, followed by developing tailored treatment plans that promote healing and growth.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, or narrative therapy, which are personalized to better serve clients' unique needs.
  • Collaboratively set therapeutic goals with clients, continuously tracking progress and adapting treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions, monitor client progress, and manage case notes with thorough accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to refine clinical skills and stay updated on the latest therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will work primarily with adult clients, and potentially with children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. We emphasize a family-centric approach to therapy, promoting healthy communication and coping strategies that include the client's support system whenever possible.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California.
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing therapy in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with various patient populations, especially adults, as well as children and adolescents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exemplifying empathy and professionalism.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy environments, adapting modalities effectively for remote sessions.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and the application of evidence-based techniques.
  • Diverse clinical experience with different demographic groups, understanding cultural sensitivities and applying inclusive practices.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications, along with an attractive sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team. Benefits include flexible work schedules, generous compensation packages that might include unlimited earnings potential, and a Long-Term Incentive Program that awards annual stock options. St. Jude Behavioral Health Center values your well-being, providing a robust support system that encourages a balanced and fulfilling professional journey.
