Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including detailed interviews and standardized evaluations, to identify clients' mental health challenges and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to promote personal growth and enhance overall well-being.
• Collaboratively establish therapeutic goals with clients, ensuring a clear understanding and tracking of progress throughout treatment.
• Engage in ongoing communication with clients, fostering a supportive environment that encourages openness and trust.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss treatment approaches, share insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with St. Jude Behavioral Health Center, you will primarily work with a diverse adult population, and you may also encounter child and adolescent clients. Our focus is on delivering individualized care that addresses various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma. Your contributions will play a crucial role in our commitment to promoting mental health awareness and providing essential support to those in need.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• A Master's degree in marriage and family therapy or a related field.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adult and/or child and adolescent populations.
• A strong belief in delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare, emphasizing compassion, empathy, and respect for every client.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or family systems therapy will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms will be beneficial in this remote role.
