Position Summary

The Database Administrator (DBA) manages the performance, security, and maintenance of core health system databases. This role ensures high data availability, system integrity, robust security compliance, and continuous query optimization to support operational and clinical workflows across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & System Analysis: Design and implement database structures, schema, and system logic aligned with organizational requirements and business processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, tune, and optimize database performance, including query refinement, index management, and system configuration adjustments.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce strict data security protocols—including role-based access controls and encryption—to safeguard sensitive healthcare data and maintain regulatory audit readiness.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and test reliable backup procedures and disaster recovery plans to ensure maximum system uptime and zero data loss.
  • Code Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain and update complex SQL code, diagnose root causes of database issues, and execute non-routine technical procedures in dynamic operational environments.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze current system usage, forecast data growth, and plan for future database capacity, storage, and infrastructure expansion.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Technical Skills
