Job description

What's the Short Version?

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Outside Sales Team including Directors, Regional Managers, Channel Managers, Strategic Account Managers and Territory Managers. This position works with all levels within the organization and plays an imperative role in the overall success of projects and reports in support of the Outside Sales team.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Coordinate and manage Outside Sales related processes, reports, systems, projects and initiatives; has involvement in planning long and/or short-term business objectives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve Outside Sales related processes, reports and systems; provide consultation and/or advice to Outside Sales team.
  • Initiate, define, prioritize and assist with the execution of multiple tasks and projects as assigned; interact with staff and communicate status updates as needed and ensure tasks/projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Lead specific functions relating to reporting, marketing materials, incentive programs, training, communication, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization including Sales Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Territory Managers, and Account Executives.
  • Communicate with all levels throughout the customers' organizations.
  • May prepare and analyze reports on a regular basis or as needed; recognizing and communicating patterns and/or key findings.
  • Write or draft correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials for all levels for the organization.
  • May provide administrative support to the Sales Support Team or other departments as needed; including data entry, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Maneuver effectively and efficiently through ODY, Salesforce, Concur and other software systems as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

What Are We Looking For?

  • High School Diploma
  • 4-6 years of project coordination or project management experience
  • A high proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, with a strong emphasis in PowerPoint; ODY, Salesforce and other proprietary programs; demonstrating proficient typing and data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and competing priorities; multi-tasking and balancing workloads as needed.
  • Works both independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.

What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn between $25.00 - $33.65 on an hourly basis, depending on experience.

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Remote: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
