• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document comprehensive case notes throughout the treatment cycle—from the initial consultation to the client's final assessment.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to form a clear understanding of their conditions and needs.
• Design personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, and groups, ensuring they meet the unique needs of each client.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to foster healing and growth.
• Monitor clients' progress continually throughout their treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Maintain regular follow-ups with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization or additional support.
• Identify and address potential obstacles that may hinder clients' recovery, guiding them through challenges as they arise.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing associated behavioral challenges, enhancing the overall support system for our clients.

At Great Bliss Behavioral Health Center, we serve a diverse clientele consisting of individuals facing a spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship difficulties. Our clients range from young adults to the elderly, requiring our counselors to display adaptability and a deep understanding of various life stages and cultural backgrounds.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the State of Texas.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is necessary.
• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practices.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR or similar software, to ensure efficient documentation and client management.
• A solid understanding of the interplay between mental health conditions and physical health, including addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and an ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.

• Experience providing teletherapy or remote counseling services is a significant plus.
• Background in working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and various cultural communities.
• Knowledge of and experience in trauma-informed care practices is highly valued.
