Job description

The Recurring Remote Production Support - Associate Director (RIC) position will be responsible for timing working with the Producer and/or Director to support the direction of Remote events or REMI productions by assisting with the preparation and assembly of elements, execution of the show. Job functions include formatting the show, sales deliverables and promos slated for the broadcast window. The Recurring Remote Associate Director must have strong multi-tasking and communication skills, plus leadership qualities. This role is remote based without a corporate office location.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Director during a production by timing elements, keying fonts, and coordinating feeds. Maintains communication with live shots by providing alerts and cues, and ensures the proper framing, audio and video levels meet on-air standards.
  • Assists in communication of traffic changes, graphics requests, music cues, and source changes with media.
  • Assists the Director with pre-production elements including billboards, promotions, teases, graphics, special effects and virtual imagery, coordinates video and fonts within the production.
  • Participates in meetings with Production to assist in the development of visual content for the show.
  • On remote productions, assists the Producer and Director in managing game-related responsibilities and traffic. Communicates directly with multiple positions, including the timeout coordinator or red hat to ensure the game and control room are in sync. Generates cards with promotional, sales and editorial copy for talent to read on air. Runs the preproduction session.
  • Takes responsibility for personal development through independent observation and training. Becomes familiar with other positions and equipment in the remote production environment as they pertain to the Associate Director role.
  • Responsible for logging music, sales elements, and commercial integrations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Basic sports knowledge including format/rules of the game.
  • Ability to follow the game including in-game trends.
  • Careful attention to detail in striving for 100 percent accuracy.
  • Clear, concise, and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work within a team atmosphere consistently being visible and accessible.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism and integrity within company guidelines and policies.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and motivated to drive results in new and changing environments.
  • Possess a strong computer background with ability to network and troubleshoot.
  • Self-motivated individual who strives to constantly improve processes with new or more efficient uses of technology.
  • Provide technical maintenance for assigned systems and system components.
  • Strong self and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a live production environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays, and travel, when required.
  • An advanced understanding of television production.
  • Valid Driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of production experience or network equivalent.
  • Directing experience.
  • Bilingual language skills (Spanish/English).
  • Extensive sport knowledge including historical information.
  • Advanced technical expertise in computer networking and file management.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, electronics, television production or related
