• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to gauge the individual needs of patients and develop tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique circumstances.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address mental health issues and foster resilience.
• Lead psychoeducational and support groups designed to build community among clients and facilitate discussions about common mental health challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and ensure continuity of treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate support during critical moments.
• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies that enhance the therapeutic process.
• Stay current with advancements in mental health treatment and engage in continuous professional development to improve your therapeutic approach.

In your role as a mental health counselor, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families, who are facing various mental health challenges. Your work will significantly alleviate distress and improve their overall quality of life by offering tailored treatments and empathetic support. You will help clients navigate their emotions, build coping strategies, and work towards their personal goals.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans in a clinical environment.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy, demonstrating a commitment to serving clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients.
• Adherence to professional ethics and boundaries, with sound judgment in clinical situations.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies effectively.
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working within community healthcare settings or outpatient clinics.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and virtual counseling platforms.
• Has led group therapy sessions or workshops focused on mental health issues.
• Knowledge of culturally competent care practices and strategies.
