• Conduct secure and confidential telehealth counseling sessions with clients using our designated telehealth platform, ensuring that their privacy is always maintained.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to accurately gauge each client’s mental health needs and collaboratively design personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other methodologies, to address clients' emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.
• Offer immediate support during crisis situations, utilizing crisis intervention protocols that prioritize client safety and emotional stability.
• Document all client interactions appropriately, maintaining accurate electronic records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions and coping strategies, empowering them to take an active role in managing their well-being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare providers and community resources, to ensure comprehensive care and support for all clients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest best practices and approaches in mental health counseling.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Trinidad Behavioral Health Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide array of clients, including adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in counseling or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in mental health counseling, with a strong emphasis on direct client interaction.
• Familiarity with telehealth technology and experience in providing counseling through virtual platforms are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, vital for building rapport with clients remotely.
• Commitment to ethical counseling practices and confidentiality within virtual settings.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, with flexibility to accommodate clients across various time zones.

• Previous experience providing telehealth counseling services is advantageous.
• Exposure to various therapeutic modalities and a passion for studying emerging trends in mental health care.
• Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
